Calgary 2026 Homicide Victim List

Calgary police received a call that brought them to the 4300 block of 14 Street N.W on Thursday, April 30, 2026, shortly after 10 a.m.

When officers arrived, they found a vehicle with two children inside who were deceased. The two victims have been identified as a five-year-old boy and a three-year-old girl.

There is a court-imposed publication ban on identifying information of the victims and witnesses. As such, the names of the children and the accused cannot be released at this time.

Calgary police have charged the children’s father with two counts of first-degree murder. He has been remanded into custody and is scheduled to appear in court on Monday, May 4, 2026.

Police acknowledged the profound impact of this tragedy on the victims’ families, their communities, and the city as a whole. They also noted that the Victim Assistance Support Team (VAST) is available to provide free support services to anyone affected by the incident.
