Montreal Homicide #7 – Police are investigating what they have called a homicide of one person and the suspicious death of another

Montreal police were called to a home on 40th Avenue near the corner of Forsyth Street, around 10:00am on May 23rd.

On arrival police and paramedics located a 57-year-old Gabriel Branchaud and 53-year-old Johanne Corriveau, in the backyard of the home. Both were pronounced deceased at the scene.

Montreal police spokesperson Julien Lévesque said one of the deaths is a homicide and the other is being considered suspicious. He said the deceased were known to each other but didn’t elaborate on their relationship. It is alleged that Branchaud killed Corriveau before killing himself.
