Human remains found in Quesnel identified as missing man Louis Korkowski after a possible abduction

On May 6th 2020, Police said human remains were located in a rural area approximately 40 km west of Quesnel near the Nazko Hwy.

The remains have since been identified as 33-year-old Louis Korkowski, who had been reported missing and possibly abducted on the evening of May 4, 2020.

Police are seeking any information about Korkowski’s whereabouts from May 4 to May 6. Korkowski is described as five-foot-four, 110 pounds, with short black hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing black track pants with a white stripe, a blue jacket, and a black Metal Mulisha sweater.

Police are also looking for information regarding two vehicles. The first vehicle is a 2003 Ford Explorer with B.C. license plate KF087R with a dent in the passenger side door. The second vehicle is a grey 2007 Toyota Matrix with black paint and peeling damage on the roof and sticker residue on the passenger-side door.

Police believe Korkowski was the victim of a homicide and are asking anyone who may have information to contact police at  250-992-9211.
