Codiac Regional RCMP responded to a report of an assault at an establishment on Casino Drive in Moncton, on March 4, 2023.

On arrival police located Rodney Frenette of Moncton, suffering from serious injuries. Frenette was rushed to hospital where he died of his injuries on March 28.

On April 14, Michael Thomas Glaspy appeared in Moncton Provincial Court via tele-remand, and was charged with manslaughter.
