Whitecourt RCMP responded to a shooting near the Whitecourt airport and learned a suspect was driving on Highway 43, according to the Alberta RCMP, at 3:21 p.m. on December 7th.

Police and paramedics arrived to find 44-year-old David Beauchesne deceased. A gofundme has been created to help support the family.

RCMP has charged Whitecourt resident, 43-year-old Mathew Charles Jackson with, Second Degree Murder.
