Gleichen RCMP responded to the report of an assault that was occurring in the area of Main Street and 4th Avenue in Gleichen on June 22nd at approximately 5:00pm.

Police and paramedics arrived to find Danny Junior Eagle Child, 53, of Siksika Nation suffering from serious injures. Danny Junior Eagle Child was declared deceased at the scene. The cause of death has not been released.

Rebecca Ann Yvette Raweater, 33, of Siksika Nation was arrested on June 23rd and charged with manslaughter.
