Ste Rose du Lac RCMP responded to a call of a deceased male on Road 84 West in the RM of McCreary on August 16, 2024, at approximately 10:10 am.
On arrival, police located a 41-year-old male deceased from a self-inflicted injury.
At 10:40 am, a call was received requesting a well-being check on a 37-year-old female. Officers attended her residence, but could not locate the woman.
Officers then attended a nearby residence to search for the female, and located three deceased individuals, a 66-year-old female, a 65-year-old male, and a 35-year-old male. Their deaths are being investigated as homicides.
The search continued with a number of RCMP resources deploying to the area.
At 1:00 pm, the female was safely located and taken to hospital as a precaution.
The RCMP can confirm that all individuals are known to each other and these incidents are related.
Police are not looking for any other suspects.
Update: RCMP Staff Sgt. Richard Sherring said Investigators believe the event took place on August 16th at 1:20am When Marlon Glover, 41, forced his way into the home of a 37-year-old female. Police said Marlon and the woman were known to each other through a previous relationship.
The woman escaped and hid in a wooded area. Glover left the residence and went to a nearby home that belonged to relatives of the female who was hiding. He then killed a 66-year-old female, a 65-year-old male, and a 35-year-old male inside the residence, the parents and brother of the female.
He left the home in his vehicle, stopped on the side of Road 84 West, and shot himself.
The female was safely located at approximately 12:40 pm and taken to hospital as a precaution.
RCMP Staff Sgt. Richard Sherring also noted that on November 24th, 2023 RCMP seized two firearms, Ammunition and his possessions & acquisition license. These items were not returned prior to the homicides and remain with the RCMP.
