Victoria police were called to a multi-unit residence in the 1100-block of Quadra Street at approximately 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, February 12.

Upon arrival, they found a woman with a stab wound. Despite efforts from officers and BC Emergency Health Services paramedics to provide medical assistance, she passed away from her injuries. Police have not released her identity at this time.

One man was arrested and remains in custody. Investigators have not released what charges he may be facing.
