Longueuil police responded to a reported physical assault at the intersection of St. George and Upper Edison streets in St. Lambert on February 26th.

Upon arrival, they found a 47-year-old man in critical condition, who was quickly taken to the hospital but later passed away.

Two other men were arrested at the scene. A 24-year-old male, initially a suspect, was later released without charges, or conditions for the time being

Autopsy results from the coroner’s office may provide more details on the cause of death, and an involuntary manslaughter charge is being considered.
