Rocky Mountain House RCMP responded to a shooting outside a residence on Sunchild First Nation on December 6th at approximately 5:57am.

The victim Jason Lagrelle, 39, was pronounced deceased at the scene.

Rocky Mountain House RCMP located a suspect vehicle and with the assistance of the Emergency Response Team, the suspect Keean Frencheater, 24, surrendered and was taken into custody at approximately 5:20pm. Frencheater has been charged with one count of second-degree murder.
