Airdrie RCMP said a body had been found in a rural area southeast of Airdrie on February 18th. The victim has been identified as Kalix Langenau, 19, who last seen in northeast Calgary on February 15th.

An autopsy was conducted and revealed that Langeneau died by homicide, the cause of death has not been released.

The RCMP Major Crimes Unit arrested Hunter Van Mackelberg, 19, and charged him with second-degree murder in relation to Langenau’s death.
