The 2023 Nova Scotia Homicide Victim List is available here

RCMP said Jeffrey Allen Ohrt, 50, of Liverpool, arrived at Nova Scotia RCMP Headquarters in Dartmouth and stated that he had just killed a female on May 31, 2023, at approximately 3:45 p.m.

Queens District RCMP conducted a wellbeing check and located a 62-year-old woman deceased. The victim’s identity and cause of death has not been released. Ohrt has been charged with First Degree Murder, and will appear in Bridgewater Provincial Court on June 2nd.

Police said the victim and the accused were known to each other.
