Hamilton Police responded to 1968 Main Street West on the report of an assault on March 14th at approximately 3:50pm.

Police located 73-year-old George Howson suffering from serious injuries. His step-son 54-year-old stepson, Timothy Brown, was arrested at the scene and charged with aggravated assault.

HPS announced on March 25th that George Howson passed away as a result of the injuries sustained from the assault on March 24, 2021. Hamilton Police Major Crime Unit has taken carriage of this investigation and Timothy Brown’s charge will be upgraded to 2nd Degree Murder.
