Halifax police investigate the fatal stabbing of Adam Jerome Dempsey

Halifax police responded to a report of a stabbing on Twin Oaks Road on August 16th at approximately 2:20am.

On arrival, police located a 32-year-old man suffering from a stabbing injury. He was transported to the hospital where he later died. The victim has been identified as Adam Jerome Dempsey.

Officers arrested 36-year-old Alexander Charles Howe at the scene without incident. He is scheduled to appear in Halifax provincial court to face a charge of first-degree murder.

Members from the Special Investigations Section of the Integrated Criminal Investigation Division are continuing to investigate and are asking anyone with information about the incident or video from the area, who has not already spoken with police, to call 902-490-5020.
