Paramedics responded to a medical incident involving a three-month-old baby, at a home on Sunning Hill Drive in Port Dover on March 28thm, 2021 at approximately 2:20am.

The infant was rushed to hospital where they later died of their injuries. Police have not released the gender of the infant or the cause of death.

On February 1st 2022, OPP announced that they arrested 25-year-old Gerrod Richard Young, and charged him with second degree murder.
