Winnipeg, Manitoba 2026 Homicide Victim List

Winnipeg police responded to reports of a stabbing in the 100 block of Henry Avenue at approximately 1:18 p.m.

Members of the North and Central District General Patrol units, supported by the Tactical Support Team (TST) and Rapid Response Unit (RRU), arrived at the scene and found an adult male suffering from serious injuries. Paramedics from the Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service were already providing emergency medical treatment.

According to investigators, the victim was approached by an adult male suspect and became involved in what police describe as an unprovoked confrontation. During the incident, the suspect allegedly produced a weapon and assaulted the victim, inflicting injuries to his upper body before fleeing the area.

The victim was rushed to hospital in critical condition but later died from his injuries.

Police have identified the deceased as 55-year-old Ronald Alexander Grego Findlay of Winnipeg.

The Winnipeg Police Service Homicide Unit has taken over the investigation and is seeking assistance from the public.

Update: On June 22, at approximately 11:30 a.m., Major Crimes Unit investigators were in the area of Main Street and Logan Avenue on an unrelated matter when they located 37-year-old David Bryan SIEMENS and took him into custody without incident.

SIEMENS has been charged with Manslaughter and was detained in custody.
