Emergency crews were called to the report of an SUV on fire on Louis Estates Road on September 20th at approximately 5:14am.

Firefighters extinguished the blaze only to find human remains inside the vehicle. An autopsy was completed and on Friday, October 2nd BC RCMP revealed that the death was a homicide and the victim has been identified as Erin Chelsea Borgford, 27.

Bogford was living in Whitehorse at the time of her death. Police are asking anyone who saw Borgford or the car she was driving, a grey 2014 Nissan Rogue to contact police at 1-877-987-8477.
