The RCMP Halifax Regional Detachment responded to a report from a man, that he had murdered a woman inside his residence On June 9, at 4:16 p.m.

With the assistance of Halifax Regional Police, RCMP Halifax Regional Detachment members responded to a home on Agincourt Crescent in Cole Harbour. Police surrounded the residence, and after several attempts to have the man exit the home, officers safely arrested 76-year-old Edmund Joseph Organ.

A 74-year-old woman was found deceased inside. Her identity and cause of death have not been released.

RCMP said Edmund Joseph Organ, has been charged with Murder. He remains in custody and is scheduled to appear in Dartmouth Provincial Court on June 10, 2024.
