On July 28, 2021, Edmonton police were contacted by a local hospital following the death of 21-year-old Ezekiel Bigstone. According to reports Bigstone had been located by hospital staff in medical distress at a transit stop in the university area and died in hospital shortly after.

Homicide Section continues to investigate and is asking anyone who may have information about Mr. Bigstone’s whereabouts in the weeks prior to his death to contact the EPS by calling 780-423-4567

Update June 13th, 2022
Edmonton police announced on June 9th that they arrested Kody Kenneth Bock, 35, of Edmonton, and charged him with second-degree murder, use of a firearm in the commission of an indictable offense and breach of firearms prohibition.
