Edmonton police responded to a reported assault at a shelter near 100 Street and 105A Avenue on January 3rd at approximately 1:30am.

Police and paramedics arrived to find an injured 54-year-old man. Despite life saving eforts he was pronounced deceased at the hospital.

Homicide Section detectives have since taken over the investigation, anyone with information regarding this suspicious death is asked to contact the EPS at 780-423-4567.
