Northwest Patrol officers responded to the report of an altercation in the area of 120 Avenue and 82 Street on October 10th at approximately 7:40 p.m. 

On arrival police and paramedics located a 20-year-old man suffering from a stab wound. The victim was rushed to hospital where he died of his injuries.

Investigators are seeking dash cam footage from 82 Street between 118 Avenue and 123 Avenue on Monday, Oct. 10 between the hours of 7:20 and 7:40 p.m.

Update October 21
An autopsy was completed by the Edmonton Medical Examiner and determined that Dakota Peter died as a result of a stab wound. The manner of death is homicide.

A 17-year-old male has been arrested and charged with manslaughter.
