Saskatoon police responded to a 911 report of an injured male in the 1800 block of 20th Street West at approximately 10:03 am on August 18th.
Police and paramedics located the 25-year-old Drew Merasty with severe injuries. The victim was rushed to hospital where he died of his injuries.
An autopsy was performed and revealed the cause of death to be a gunshot, and manner of death to be a homicide.
