On the evening of February 18, 2025, police and EMS responded to a call near a business on the 1500 block of 12th Avenue in Regina. Upon arrival, they discovered a 46-year-old male deceased.

Officers quickly secured the area and requested assistance from the Regina Police Service Major Crime Unit, Forensic Identification Unit, and the Saskatchewan Coroners Service.

After further investigation, 39-year-old Dennis Hotomanie was arrested and charged with first-degree murder (CC 235(1)). Hotomanie is scheduled to appear in Regina Provincial Court on February 20, 2025, at 9:30 a.m.
