Emergency crews were called to a home in the 5300 block of Rundlehorn Drive N.E., for a report of a child in medical distress on September 27th at approximately 11:30am.
Police said 3 year old Ivy Wick was taken to hospital with significant injuries. Calgary police reported that Doctors at the hospital said Ivy’s injuries were not consistent with a fall. Ivy ward was taken off life support on October 5th.
Homicide Unit has taken over the investigation. According to Calgary police the death of Ivy Wick has not been ruled a homicide by the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner as further test results are pending, however, the case is being investigated as such.
