According to Cape Breton police Justin MacDonald was last seen on July 7th, 2024 at approximately 11 PM at the Irving gas station located at 183 Commercial Street, North Sydney, where he was captured on store video.
Police later located Justin’s vehicle, a blue Kia Forte, NS License Plate #FYZ-715, approximately 25 km away in the Ormond Crescent area of Mira Road, in CBRM. Justin is described as 5’9” tall and 240 pounds with sandy blond hair and blue eyes.
On November 19th, police announced that based on the information investigators collected, the case had to change into a homicide investigation. Police have not released any additional information at this time.
On December 12th 38-year-old Mitchell George McPhee was charged with manslaughter, as well as robbery and assault.
On December 20th Cape Breton Police arrested 36-year-old Ryan Joseph Pike and charged him with second-degree murder and robbery. Aaron Curtis Mickey, 45, has been charged with second-degree murder, robbery and four firearm-related offences.
