Calgary police responded to several reports of shots fired in the 2600 block of 36 Street S.E. on December 25th at approximately 4:30 a.m.

On arrival police located Samuel Welday Haile, 24, suffering from gunshot injuries. He was rushed to hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries.

Calgary police are asking for the public’s support to locate Yosief HAGOS, 22, in relation to the homicide. HAGOS is wanted Canada-wide for second-degree murder. He is described as 5’11” tall, approximately 140 pounds, with a slim build.

We ask members of the public to exercise caution if you believe you see or know the suspect, as he is considered armed and dangerous and should not be approached. All sightings should be reported by calling 9-1-1.
