High Prairie RCMP responded to a call of an unresponsive male in a vehicle on August 23, 2024, at approximately 2:00 a.m.

On arrival, police located 41-year-old Bradley Lamouche, unresponsive in a vehicle. Lamouche was pronounced deceased at the scene from injuries consistent with a gunshot wound. 

RCMP arrested and charged Gift Lake Metis Settlement resident Dakota Auger, 27, with second-degree murder. Auger has been taken before a justice of the peace, his next court date is scheduled for August 26, 2024, at the Alberta Court of Justice in High Prairie.
