Evansburg RCMP received a report of a person found lying in the snow in an alley in the area of 49 Street and 50 Avenue on January 3rd at approximately 10:00am.

Police arrived to find a 27-year-old woman deceased, and partially covered in snow. Police said the circumstances of the death are under investigation, and the Alberta RCMP Major Crimes have taken over carriage of this investigation.

No further details regarding the deceased will be released at this time.
