Montreal police were called to the report of a shooting in the area of Rivard and Roy Streets, on January 13th at approximately 6:50pm.

Police arrived to find Amir Benayad, 17, with atleast one gunshot wound to his upper body. The teen was rushed to hoapital where he dies from hin injuries. Const. Jean-Pierre Brabant says the victim was not known to police.

No arrests have been made at this time.
