Peel police responded to a shooting in the area of Rutherford Rd S and Selby Rd on October 19th just after 6 a.m.

On arrival police located four people suffering from gunshot injuries. 22-year-old Marsha Khadija Charmant was pronounced at the scene, one victim to the Trauma Centre with serious injuries and two victims to hospital with minor injuries.

The suspect(s) fled the scene in an unknown vehicle.

As investigators work to identify a suspect vehicle, they are appealing to anyone with dash-cam equipped vehicles and driving on Rutherford Road South between Queen St and Steeles Avenue between 5:00 a.m. and 6:30 a.m. to please contact the Homicide Bureau by calling 905-453-2121, ext 3205.
