Sandy Bay Detachment of the Manitoba First Nation Police Service (MFNPS) responded to a report of shots fired at a residence located in Sandy Bay Ojibway First Nation on October 18, 2024, at 11:25 pm.

Officers arrived to find a 30-year-old male who was pronounced deceased at the scene.
