A Vancouver Police investigation has resulted in the arrest of a suspect now facing a second-degree murder charge in the killing of a Downtown Eastside resident, Mark Andrew Roasa, two weeks ago.

According to VPD, the Homicide Unit began investigating on November 28 after 45-year-old Mark Andrew Roasa was attacked by an unknown assailant near Gore and Powell Street around 3 a.m, November 28th. After two weeks of work, officers identified a suspect and arrested him Sunday evening in the area of Main Street and Terminal Avenue.

Korey Robert Muskett, 33, has been charged with second-degree murder and remains in custody. Police have released few additional details about the case at this time.
