Chateauguay Police responded to the report of gunshots in the Parc de la Commune on August 22nd at approximately 8:00am.
Police and paramedics arrived to find James Richard Curotte suffering from serious injuries. He was rushed to hospital where he died of his injuries.
Police arrested 22-year-old Justin Moore in relation to the fatal shooting. Moore is scheduled back in court Sep. 25th for a preliminary inquiry where the court will decide on a charge of first or second-degree murder.
