Montreal police found a 19-year-old male lying on the sidewalk on Acadie Boulevard near Salaberry Street on August 24th at approximately 12:30am.
Montreal police spokesperson Caroline Chèvrefils said the victim Aly Abdelaziz was conscious and has sustained a stab wound to the upper body and was able to tell police who stabbed him. Abdelaziz was rushed to hospital where he died of his injuries.
Police said 18-year-old Ahmed Raza checked himself into hospital with a minor stab wound at approximately 12:45am. Police met Raza who was determined to be the suspect and placed him under arrest.
Ahmed Raza appeared before a judge at the Montreal courthouse on August 25th where he was charged with the first-degree murder.
