Quebec 2026 Homicide Victim List

A 30-year-old inmate at Donnacona Institution has died after suffering injuries during an altercation involving other prisoners, Correctional Service Canada (CSC) confirmed.

Tarek Baydoun died on June 3, 2026, while in federal custody. According to CSC, the injuries that led to his death were sustained during an incident involving fellow inmates.

At the time of death, Baydoun had been serving a life sentence, which commenced on April 14, 2025.

Authorities said his family has been informed of his death.

As is standard procedure in cases involving inmate deaths, CSC will conduct a review of the circumstances surrounding the incident. Police and the coroner have also been notified in accordance with CSC policy.
