Thunder Bay, Ontario 2026 Homicide Victim List

On May 25, Thunder Bay Police announced that the disappearance of Kelsey Anderson was no longer being treated as an active missing person case. At the time, investigators did not disclose the outcome of their search or provide further details.

However, a subsequent investigation by the Thunder Bay Police Service Major Crime Unit resulted in the discovery of a deceased person, later identified as 36-year-old Kelsey Anderson.

Police say that on June 6, 2026, officers arrested a suspect in connection with Anderson’s death.

As a result of the investigation, 33-year-old Dion McKay of Thunder Bay has been charged with manslaughter.

The accused appeared in court and remains in custody pending further proceedings.
