Assiniboia RCMP responded to a report of an assault at a community facility on November 1, 2025.

Investigators determined that an altercation occurred between two individuals, resulting in one adult male being taken to hospital.

On November 3, police were informed by the hospital that the man had died. RCMP continues to investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident, while the Saskatchewan Coroners Service is examining the cause of death.

No charges have been filed, and authorities confirmed that neither of the individuals involved were employees of the facility. The investigation remains ongoing.
