Gilles Brassard charged with the murder of his wife, 79-year-old Thérèse Brassard-Lévesque at a Terrebonne Seniors home

Terrebonne police were called to a residence at a senior’s residence on Yves-Blais St. after two people were found unconscious in a unit at about 6 p.m. on September 30th.

On arrival police and paramedics located a 79-year-old woman and an 81-year-old man unconscious in her room. She was declared deceased at the scene, and 81-year-old was transported to a hospital.

Police said the 81-year-old man did not live at the residence, and the death is being investigated as a homicide.

“The 81-year-old man is considered a suspect in this incident and is presently under police watch in hospital,” the police force said.

The victim’s husband Gilles Brassard has been charged with first-degree murder in connection to the strangling death of his wife Thérèse Brassard-Lévesque. According to police Brassard-Lévesque suffered from Alzheimer’s disease
