The 2024 BC Homicide Victim List is available here

Richmond RCMP received a request for a check-wellbeing at a residence in the 4900-block of Princeton Avenue, in Richmond on April 26, 2024 at approximately 5 p.m.

Police located a 71-year old woman deceased inside her home. Investigators said the evidence located at scene resulted in members apprehending the victim’s 38-year old son, who was inside the residence.

The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team (IHIT) has taken conduct of the investigation and continues to work closely with the Richmond RCMP, the BC Coroners Service and the Integrated Forensic Identification Services. 

“This is an isolated incident with no ongoing risk to the public,” says Sergeant Timothy Pierotti of IHIT.
