The 2024 Quebec Homicide Victim List is available here

Richelieu-Saint-Laurent police responded to the report of a stabbing at a single-family residence on rue Ménard in Saint-Basile-le-Grand on the night of February 18th.

On arrival police located a 51-year-old woman seriously injured. She was rushed to hospital where she died of her injuries.

A 53-year-old man was arrested at the scene. It is currently unknown whether this is the victim’s spouse or an ex-spouse.

Police said the victim’s children, two teenagers, were in the residence at the time of the incident.
