Bellville police were called to an east-end residence on August 22nd on the report of an assault.

Police arrived to find a 45-year-old woman, suffering from serious injures. The woman was rushed to hospital where she died of her injuries. Police have not released the cause of death or the woman identity.

A 24-year-old Belleville man found at the scene by police was charged with one count of second-degree murder.
