The 2022 Surrey BC Homicide Victim List is available here

Surrey RCMP responded to a report of a stabbing in the 12700-block of 66 Avenue, on December 7th at approximately 9:22pm.

On arrival police located a 40-year-old Harpreet Kaur in medical distress, suffering from a life-threatening stab wound. Despite life-saving efforts by first responders, the victim succumbed to her injuries at a local hospital. 

A 40-year old man was arrested at the scene and taken into police custody. The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team (IHIT) has taken carriage of the investigation and continue to work with the Surrey RCMP.  Neither the suspect or the victim were known to police.
