Police said  James Money, 62, disappeared in the summer of 2018 however OPP only learned of the disappearance in May 2019. Money’s body has yet to be discovered.

On September 3rd, 2019, Police arrested Shawn Cote, 34 years of age, of Elliot Lake, in Vancouver, British Columbia, and charged him with Second Degree Murder, and Indignity to Dead Body. According to reports, a forensic investigation has been underway since June 2019. Investigators have been searching a housing complex on Willoughby Road and the local landfill.
