Yellowknife RCMP received a call for service at the Sobering Centre regarding an injured man on September 3rd at approximately 5:40pm.

Police arrived to find Mark Poodlat, 36, suffering from serious injuries. He was rushed to hospital where he died of his injuries on September 5th.

Victor Ugyuk was arrested and charged with aggravated assault, however, since Pooslat has passed away a homicide investigation has begun.
