Strathmore and Langdon RCMP responded to a 911 call of an assault at a residence in Langdon on May 26th.

Police and paramedics arrived to find an unresponsive woman who was rushed to Calgary hospital in serious condition. Police arrested a 31-year-old male, at the scene, and said charges are pending.

The female victim died of her injuries in hospital on June 7th. Police have not released her identity or exact cause of death at this time. Alberta RCMP Major Crimes Unit has taken carriage of this investigation, with the assistance of Strathmore and Langdon RCMP, and the RCMP Forensic Identification Unit.
