26-year-old man found deceased on a road in Cormorant

Opaskwayak RCMP responded to a repost of an injured man on a road in Cormorant, on May 11th at approximately 2:45am.

Police and paramedics arrvied to find a 26-year-old man deceased at the scene. The victim’s identity and cause of death have not been released at this time.

Opaskwayak RCMP are investigating the death as a homicide.

Update May 19
RCMP have issued a warrant for the arrest of Carl Nabess-Genaille, 26, who is wanted for  Manslaughter and Failing to Remain at the Scene of a Collision Causing Death. Nabess-Genaille is described as 6’1″ tall, 194 pounds, with a large rose tattoo on the side of his neck. He also goes by the names “Tad” or “Tado”.

Update May 21st
Carl Nabess-Genaille was arrested in Brandon by RCMP Major Crime Services, along with the assistance of Brandon Police Service, RCMP Police Dog Services and Blue Hills RCMP on May 19th. Nabess-Genaille has been charged with Manslaughter and Failing to Remain at the Scene of a Collision Causing Death.
