Brantford police were called to a traffic complaint on May 26th at approximately 12:00 am. As a result of the investigation police then attended a residence on Wayne Drive, Brantford.
Police arrived at the scene and located a 54-year old deceased with multiple stab wounds. Police arrested a 19-year-old male from Brantford and charged him with First Degree Murder and Failing to Comply with Bail Conditions under the Criminal Code.
Investigators have not released any information on how the traffic complaint and the homicide are connected. As a publication ban is in place, the names of the victim and the accused will not be released.
