Saskatchewan RCMP responded to a report of an injured man at a home in Whitewood, Saskatchewan on November 6, 2025, around 4:00 p.m.

RCMP said the man was taken to hospital, where he was pronounced deceased.

A male youth at the residence sustained minor injuries during his arrest and was taken to hospital as a precaution, and was released back into police custody.

Following the investigation, the teen was charged with first-degree murder in connection with the man’s death.

Both the victim and the accused are from the Broadview area. Due to the Youth Criminal Justice Act, no further identifying details can be released. The investigation continues with support from RCMP Major Crimes, Forensic Identification Services, and the Saskatchewan Coroners Service.
