Two teens charged with the murder of Paul Enns in Winnipeg

Winnipeg Police Service responded to a Wellbeing check at a parking lot near Shaftesbury Boulevard and Conservatory Drive on February 26th at approximately 3:00am.

On arrival police located 43-year-old Paul Enns deceased in a vehicle.

On March 1, 2022, a 15-year-old youth female of Stonewall, Manitoba, was arrested and charged with Second Degree Murder and Robbery. 

Update March 4th
A 17-year-old boy from Warren, Man., has been now been charged with second-degree murder and robbery in connection with the death of Paul Enns, 43.

Update March 18th
Crown attorneys John Hamm said the girl created a fake Instagram account she used to engage with Enns. Analysis of her phone showed her “actively engaging the victim 106 times”.

The teen agreed to meet the victim at the park, with the expectation that she would provide sex in exchange for money, drugs and jewellery. 

Once at the scene the girl allegedly stabbed Enns, while her boyfriend joined in by beating with a bat.

The teens fled the scene with Enns cellphone, car keys and wallet, which contained his licence, vaccination card, cash, credit and debit cards.
