York Regional Police responded to a call for a shooting at an industrial plaza on Creditstone Road near Highway 7 West on May 24th at 3:50am.

On arrival officers located two adult males suffering from gunshot wounds. Jayden Pitter, 23, of Brampton was pronounced deceased at the scene. The second man was transported to a trauma center with life-threatening injuries, where he is in stable condition.

Police are seeking two suspects who wore dark clothing at the time of the shooting, along with a suspect vehicle described as a dark-coloured, mid-size SUV. 

It is believed there were several people in the area at the time of the shooting. Any witnesses who have not yet spoken to investigators are urged to come forward, along with anyone who has video footage or dashcam recordings is asked to contact the York Regional Police Homicide Unit at 1-866-876-5423, extension 7865, or by email at homicide@yrp.ca.
